the only way

I miss analyzing and reanalyzing life, the thing I used to do a lot because my life used to be just work. Now, I have more involvement in everyday life, encountering so many people every day. I like speaking to drivers and to vendors and to take a peek on their lives.

As I am seating beside the FX driver and perhaps he was bored that day, we had a conversation. Through his questions, he learned that I am both working and studying.

FX driver: It must be hard.
mordsith: Yes, but that’s life.
FX driver: Do you still sleep?
mordsith: Just a little.
FX driver: That’s life. I myself had to work from 6 am to 10 pm.
mordsith: Where do you eat during lunch and dinner?
FX driver: During lunch, I eat with the drivers in the FX garage. During night, I eat at home. When my sister’s not home to cook for me, I don’t eat.
mordsith: Same with me. I feel so tired, I do not want to cook or buy food anymore. That’s how it goes.
FX driver: Yes, that’s how it goes.

We both agreed that we cannot give up on life. Though there are too many exit signs we see along the way, we have to move forward. Moving forward is the only way.

yes, forward is where we all must go, getting back would mean a struggle, and looking back must be the challenge. Nice post Mordsith!

I find it interesting to talk to drivers, too. To selected strangers, in general. I am learning and re-learning a lot.

i do analyze and reanalyze, but rarely. i often just enjoy life without getting deeper to the nit and grit. you might say i’m not really a deep thinker, i just take whatever life gives me. he! he!.

well, i guess it’s ok to move backward. sometimes. physical laws dictate that whatever goes up, eventually goes down. if ever moving backward is inevitable, just make sure to have two steps forward for every one step backward you make. hehehe.

Naku swerte ka at matino yung driver na nakausap mo. One time nag-commute si Jane from the office to Makati to meet a friend. Yung taxi driver dating Satanismo!
